Teacher/Vocal Coach

Having spent many years working with musicians and voices of varying standards, Angharad has vast experience in teaching music and singing to students at all levels, as well as vocal coaching for professional productions.

VOCAL COACHING

Angharad has worked for various production companies as a vocal coach, focussing on developing the techniques required in contemporary theatre in order to get the most out of each voice and maintain strong vocal health throughout each contract. Most recently she has worked with the Talent Artistic Group on their productions of Aladdin Goes Pop (Summer 2018 Tour) and Iconic (Summer 2017 Tour).

“Angharad brings not just an overwhelming amount of expertise in to the rehearsal room, but a calmingly strong feeling of safety. Safety in which our performers feel comfortable to play, experiment and explore their voices, even though they are already well on their journey in their professional careers.

Angharad’s vocal technique toolkit is priceless and through just a few simple sessions with our touring casts this year, we have seen the number of cases of vocal fatigue drop to almost zero (in a show that is vocally demanding). She is personable, passionate, reliable, utterly knowledgeable and thoroughly professional. I would strongly recommend her.”

“Angharad taught me through college but the lessons and technique I learnt from her will stay with me through life. Not only is she a wonderful teacher, but her relaxed and kind hearted personality makes each student comfortable around her. The shows I did with her made me a stronger performer, she assured the whole cast knew what they were doing, and that each production was a performance that we could all be proud of.  I was pushed and coached for two years, and the amount I developed I owe completely to her.” – Emily Oakes, performer
