As an HCPC-registered Music Therapist, I believe music offers a powerful, non-verbal language for connection, healing, and self-expression. Building on two decades as a performer and musical director, my clinical practice brings together musical creativity and evidence-based therapeutic care to support individuals of all ages.

What Can Be Done Through Music Therapy
Music therapy isn’t about teaching someone to play an instrument or sing perfectly, it’s about creating a safe, collaborative space where sound and music become tools for personal growth and emotional support.
- Emotional & Psychological Wellbeing: Expressing complex feelings, processing trauma, reducing anxiety, and building self-confidence.
- Communication & Self-Expression: Supporting non-verbal communication, speech development, and interpersonal connection.
- Neurological & Cognitive Support: Assisting with memory recall, motor skill coordination, and brain injury recovery through rhythmic and melodic interventions.
- Community & Inclusion: Fostering community connection through inclusive singing groups, choir leadership (Gelliswick Community Choir), and early years music programs (Haven Songs).
Recent Music Therapy work includes:
SNAP Playgroup: Specialist music-making sessions tailored for children with additional needs and their families.
Making Music Workshop: A 2-hour interactive session for the Children’s Festival, tailored for children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and neurodivergent individuals.
Foster Carer Wellbeing Conferences: Keynote presentations and workshops delivered to Foster Wales (Pembrokeshire and Powys divisions).
Targeted Family Support: Specialized therapy sessions in partnership with Pembrokeshire County Council’s social services to support local foster families.
Haven Songs Group: A dedicated therapeutic music group supporting new and expectant caregivers.
All clinical sessions, therapeutic workshops, and individual vocal tuition are hosted through my sister practice, Hiraeth Haven, based in a dedicated studio space in Pembrokeshire, South Wales.
