A Distinctive Voice Rooted in Musicianship
Following a childhood surrounded by music in the heartland of Wales, Angharad earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Huddersfield, followed by a Postgraduate Certificate in Jazz, Popular, and Contemporary Music from Leeds College of Music.
Her voice combines warmth, power, and narrative storytelling with exquisite technical control, described by Broadway composer Bobby Cronin as having a “great natural quality… an extension of speech, which is of the utmost importance in contemporary musical theatre.”
As a multi-instrumentalist, Angharad’s primary instruments are Voice, Piano, Ukulele, Clarinet, and Alto Sax, with proficiency on Guitar, Flute, Tenor Sax, and Cajón. She frequently pairs her vocal performances with piano accompaniment.
